A little bit about...
It's Christmas Eve and Father Stanton is ill. Not that Father Whitworth O'Grady minds, he's off for a meal at the Summers-Day house, and he can't wait to tuck into one of Lauras award-winning cakes.
However, as he leaves the rectory, Whitworth's in for a night he'll never forget - but will it be for all the right reasons?
Venetia Ashurst grew up listening to her Grandpa's tales of Bumpkinton, but as she grew up the tales died with him. However, one fateful rummage through the attic turns up memories long forgotten and a desire for Venetia to buy an old, decrepit shop that's up for sale in the village.
Will she turn it into burger bar or a confounded McRonalds?
Whatever it's going to be, Amelia Goose isn't happy - and she's going to make sure Venetia knows about it.
Father Whitworth O'Grady is putting on a Singles Night for the singles in the village. However, when an unexpected arrival shows up, it throws the evening into chaos.
This guy loves himself. This guy loves to flirt. This guy causes bloody chaos.
This guy is Fenton O'Grady.
The Family Jewels
When General Lloyd-Barnes decides to open up his mansion, everybody in the village is eager to get a look at what's inside.
However, Amelia Goose and Marjorie Fairfax have ideas of their own.
They want an eyeful of the famous 'Lloyd-Barnes Jewels' and an eyeful they get, but not at the jewels they're expecting.
Albert Scatterhorn doesn't expect much, what with being a tramp an all. However, as General Lloyd-Barnes pulls out of playing Father Christmas, the local priests scour the Christmas Markets for a last-minute Santa-saver.
Step forward Albert.
It's going to be a very, smelly Christmas.

Praise for The Bumpkinton Tales
"This is a great collection of interwoven tales that all take place in the obscure village of Bumpkinton.
With larger-than-life characters, a mix of typical and not-so-typical events, this is a tea-and-scones-with-jam kind of read: mostly light-hearted and delightfully British."
